About Mike Nehdor Wotoe
Mike Nehdor Wotoe hails from Gbeivonwea, Twah River District #4, Nimba County, Liberia. He was born on September 23, 1996, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Daniel G. Wotoe Sr. His mother is Ivorian and his father is Liberian, and both parents belong to the Gio tribe. Raised by hardworking farming parents, Mike developed early in life a strong appreciation for hard work, sacrifice, and the importance of education.
Educational Journey
Mr. Wotoe began his educational journey in 2005 at Gbeivonwea Inland Mission School, where he studied from ABC through Kindergarten 2. When the school ceased operations in 2007 due to financial difficulties, his parents worked diligently to secure a No Objection Certificate that enabled him to transfer to Gbeivonwea Public School, where he continued his studies.
His academic path was not without interruptions. Financial hardship forced him to pause his education for a year, but he returned with renewed determination and continued progressing through primary school. Later, after moving with his father to Garplay, he enrolled at Garplay Public School, where he completed Grade 3 and advanced to Grade 4, emerging as the second dux of his class.
Although family plans were made for him to continue his education at Karn High School in Karnplay City, those plans were disrupted when his father became seriously ill. Even so, Mike continued his education at Gbeivonwea Public School and successfully completed Grade 6 in 2013 with an impressive average of 89.1%, graduating among the top students in his class.
He continued into junior high school and remained academically strong, even as the Ebola outbreak in Liberia disrupted the academic calendar in 2014. He later enrolled at Karn High School, where he completed junior high and advanced through senior high with distinction. In Grade 11, he earned an average of 85% and became class dux. He successfully completed Grade 12 and graduated from high school in November 2019.
Higher Education and International Experience
Following high school, Mr. Wotoe faced another major life challenge when he suffered a serious illness from 2020 to 2021. After undergoing treatment and recovering by the grace of God, he resumed his pursuit of higher education. Despite multiple setbacks between 2021 and 2024, he remained focused on his future and continued seeking opportunities to grow academically.
In September 2024, shortly after his birthday, Mike received sponsorship from Ambassador Bormain B. Bormain Sr., a distinguished son of Nimba County known for supporting youth empowerment and educational development. Through this sponsorship, Mike traveled to India on December 30, 2024. He is currently residing in India and pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (IT) at Punjab Technical University (PTU), where he matriculated in 2025.
